I went to Penang fot the past few days....oh yeah I'm back to M'sia for those that hasnt know...hehee. The trip was great, I havent been to travel with the childhood friends for some time. Good sun, nice view, pretty girl and tasty food were all the ingredients of this wonderful trip.....too bad some people just couldnt join us.....pity them, missed all the good time....haaa

Congratulation to the 5th year senior who've just finished their final presentation...you guys are graduate architect now and its my turn to think what should I undertake for my dissertation. Next year will be my final year in uni, hopefully everything could be proceeded smoothly. Sometimes I couldnt believe that I have been studying architecture for 5 years. I think my secondary school teacher would never expect that a rebellious student like me would become an architect...

When Jenny gone...I could hardly feel the pain on my chest, actually I couldnt feel anything at that time other than the feeling of dying. My mind was blank and my body was souless. I still remember the last word she said to me. I was holding her left hand and it was very cold. She was asking me wheather she looks terrible, I told her she was the most beautiful girl that I've ever seen. I kissed her on her hand and begged her to be tough...She was too weak to talk so I moved my head closely to her lips so that I can clearly hear what she said. She said to me :" I love you zhu zhu, you have to be brave, promise me.." "I love you too bibi, I promise.." I replied her. She then kissed me on my cheek and tears were dropping from her eyes..after that she said sorry and thank you to her parents and her sister. I wanted to hug her but the doctors and nurses don't allow me to...so I held her hand until her last breath...

I was 18, and I'm 24 now..we were together for 3 months...

Thanks Sk, Ck, Kum, Sean and Jien Tink for accompanying me in that difficult period..you guys are really great..

too bad I was dumped by girls twice after that....when I was 20 and 21...none of the relationships could last more than 3 months. There were few girls that I've fallen in love after that but none of them worked out as well. The pain on my chest this time was the worst compared to before...maybe because in the past few years I didn't allow myself to fall in love easily, so this time I have given too much probably??

Everything in this world has the stories of their own...you have your stories, I have mine, even a tree has its stories. What makes a story worth to be remembered? I think it would be the story that is shared by people and being privatised by them that makes it different from others. People was asking me, why do I like to take pictures? I think it is because I like to tell stories through my lenses. All pictures tell stories and it is not merely the images itself but also the stories of the photographer...another funny thing that I like about photography is that everyone has a totally different understanding and observation on the picture that they've seen...isn't that interesting?

Well, if you tell a girl that you like her, and she replied that she doesnt know how to respond, and said that it is her problem and not your problem, actually the exact answer is "I don't like you, but I dont want to make you feel bad and embarrassed, so I rather say it is my problem and not yours....of course you wont have any problem because I just dont fucking care about you!!"

That means you wont get a chance no matter what, because you talk more to her through msn compared to the real life....only one word can represent this situation- pathetic because god invented mouth for you to talk unfortunately you were typing....how pathetic man.....

Another pathetic situation is you have been telling her you have fallen in love to her, but you never get any answer. She wont tell u wheather the feeling is mutual or not. Funny thing is that she will treats you like you never tell her anything...

Another funny thing is, all this things happen on the basis that no one is responsible for the cause and outcome. That means, you couldnt blame anyone on what had happened and if you really wanted to, just point the finger to yourselves. However believe me, blaming yourselves wont makes you feel better...

Besides, the word- "fate" becomes crucial decision on everything, because it is a good term to represents all those powerless and helpess situation, the situation where you have tried so hard but have nothing for return, fruitless endeavour... meanwhile it is also greatly used as an excuses for you to do nothing or refuse to respond to certain circumstances...for instance, you dont want to do something on some stupid reason,you will comfort yourselves by saying: well, what to do? We have no fate...."

Dun worry my friend, I'm not crazy yet, although I have been thinking about this girl every moment day and night......but sometimes life is just like that, u fallen in love to wrong people again, again, and again....where you no longer feel that you are important to others....because no one will care a shit about you...so you better take care of yourselves......

Weeks ago, a famous Malaysian Architect, Ar Jimmy Lim came to UTAS to give a lecture. The lecture was soooo hilarious, he's good in "blowing water" I suppose,quite inspiring and ideas-provoking lecture. There is a small significant statement he had made which left me a great impression :" What is the morality of profitability?" Few days later we had potluck together, which attended by numbers of M'sian Architecture student in UTAS. Once again, he told us a lot of stories, he is a good story teller though. It's exciting that we had met a famous Malaysian architect in Australia.

Yo!! Its our 52nd merdeka day!! Athough I study overseas but my heart belongs to Malaysia. Although I have a lot of Malaysian friends that wanted to migrate to overseas and getting PR in foreign country....sometimes I think their real purpose to study at overseas is to get a PR status in other countries...they said there's no oppurtunity in Malaysia, is it true?? I don't think so. None of my friends are jobless in Malaysia after graduated. In fact, I think our country is much more better on some aspects compared to other countries. Can you find any free education and RM1 medical treatment at other countries? how much of taxes have u paid a year? although there are unfair and unreasonable policies in the country and there are many narrow minded extremist and racist bastards out there however we shouldn't run away, Malaysia is rich in cultural and it is the diversities that makes us unique hence lead to colourful and meanigful life. So far I think my life experience is subtle and I'm happy to be staying in Malaysia. When someone says that they don't like the people of other races, do they ever make friend of other races? How could we dislike other people while we actually don't know about them?

I scanned these pictures from my 2 books - Malaysia : a pictorial history, 1400-2004 by Wendy Khadijah Moore and Singapore A Pictorial History 1819-2000 by Gretchen Liu. They're good books though, there're plenty of precious old pictures inside these books, they're my favourites!!oo..I couldn't flip through them now because they're in my house in Malaysia..LOL

I watched a japanese movie called "Departures" recently. Such a nice film, the story is about an out-of-work cellist who accepts a job as a "Nokanashi" or "encoffineer" (which means undertaker) in order to provide for himself and his young wife. Daigo Kobayashi, the main actor, is a talented musician, but when his orchestra is abruptly disbanded, he suddenly finds himself without a source of steady income. Making the decision to move back to his small hometown, Daigo answers a classified advertisement for a company called "Departures," mistakenly assuming that he will be working for a travel agency. Upon discovering that he will actually be preparing the bodies of the recently deceased for their trip to the afterlife, Daigo accepts the position as gatekeeper between life and death and gradually gains a greater appreciation for life. But while Daigo's wife and friends universally despise his new line of work, he takes a great amount of pride in the fact that he is helping to ensure that the dead receive a proper send-off from this state of being. I cried few times when i'm watching this film, such a nice film which potraits respect of the living to the death, while defines how helpless could it be when someone who is closed to you has passed away.

Suddenly I'm thinking of my parents, when their day is come, how should I react and face that???

Haha!!! I'm so happy that I've won in bidding on these 2 custom made Camel Trophy Land Rover diecasts!! Ooh yeah...have i mentioned before I'm a 1/43 scale Land Rover diecast collector? I owned more than 100 Land Rover metal diecast in various models, which i collected since last year from ebay. Well, I would only buy those land rover that I think they're special or has certain values. Most of the diecasts that I have bought were either in custom made or limited edition. The custom made Land Rover diecasts by this Japanese seller were very rare and built on very fine detail, based on the true model of Camel Thophy Land Rover. Only few were produced at one time and I have being outbidded so many times by these frantic bidders who were apparently far more richer than me. They could spent few hundred dollars for a diecast car!!! The Land Rover Freelander listed last month was sold at $230!! Were they out of their minds?? I never thought I will win this time, because I never win any bid for past few months. Who knows? I won the Land Rover Discovery and Defender both in one auction!!(only these 2 cars were listed on the auction this time)I was bidding on the thought of trying luck, I'd put an amount in the last minutes which I have outbidded the previous bidder unexpectedly!! 1 minute later, I tried for another one, which I'd won too!! Yohoo!!!

I'm sorry for ignoring her for so many times. Nevertheless I didn't lie to her, I was really busy with my assignment when she'd called me. I was in the study trip to Melbourne and Hobart when she sent me the smses..I know she concerned about me, and I'm really appreciate that. No one has ever called me and so desperately wanted to see me just because I'd a cough, I was in Melbourne when she came to my place, I wasn't avoiding her, I'm sorry if I hurt her feelings and I also sorry I'd just met her one time after I came back to Launnie.....she is a nice girl with great pesonality, she will find a guy better than me one days who really deserves her.

Have you ever experience something like this?

Everyday when you wake up and turn on your computer, you'll scroll down your MSN messenger friend's namelist to check wheather he/her is online. If he/she is online, you will scratch your head thinking about something to start your conversation with him/her, sometimes even asking stupid question. If it works and you guys have a pleasant conversation, then congratulation, you'll keep smiling for the whole day...

If you couldn't reached him/her or your conversation is not going well?

Too bad. You should buy a very sticky glue for your broken heart where at the meantime you will be thinking what have you done or said?? and you think you are the most stupid person in the world athough you might be, or not....

and this process keep going and repeated everyday....

Yeah...whatever, my grade for Design Studio just announced...not too bad, not too good, right in between. Well, I could say that it is expected as I'm not good in doing this kind of digital works. Thanks to my buddy Alvin, without you I probably couldn't finish my animation....I appreciate your help, man. No matter what, I still think that I've produced a nice architecture without need to making up story saying how "emergent" my architecture is. I wasn't meaning that what'd been done by others were bad or useless in fact they're just not my cup of tea. Compared to those "emergent" architect such as Zaha Hadid(again, I just refer to her works, I didn't copied them!!! Those who're really understand my project would discovered that I've designed it by my own way.), Daniel Libeskind, Frank Gehry, Greg Lynn, Nox and so fourth, I'm more interested in the work of Geoffrey Bawa, Doshi, Charles Correa,Jimmy Lim and so fourth. I think their architecture have something that the digital architecture doesn't has, - "human values". This semester's design were about experimental design and "emergence", yeah I know, and these architect came out with many theories" however I've some little doubt....if what you guys saying were so true and powerful, howcome what you guys so called "emergent" architecture were only built at rich and advanced city? Is it because they required large amount of money to build? Are they required sophisticated technologies in the construction?? When these so called "sustainable" architecture was built, are they really effective as they should?? Are they really sustainable in people's psychological and emotional aspects??

I got a call few days ago in the midnight from my father, telling me that Grandpa has passed away....its expected because he got a stoke few weeks ago...probably it is a relieve to him, to accompany my grandma who passed away 3 months ago. I wasn't sad...just feel a bit sorry...for my absense when he had his last breath...

I just came back from Melbourne after spending 5 days there. Few sites visited and I had a great time with friends...the foods were just too nice. Nevertheless I have to face the reality after came back to Launnie, 2 submissions are due by next Monday. This week is gonna be a very tough ones......there is also another site visit in Hobart in Tuesday...huh....I'm exhausted.....

East coast trip n Easter Holiday Day 3

In the day 3 we went to Frecinent Peninsula..where we have conquered the Mount Amos. It was so exciting!! There was only a girl in the 13 - persons hiking team. It took us more than 4 hours to hike this mountain, this girl was exactly the girl that i have mentioned before, who i had just met in the first day of the trip. Apparently she was fresh in this kind of extreme activity. However with fears and tears (I guess) plus determination and courage, she're able to be on the peak of the mountain with us. I have to say I am really impressed by this 20 year-old girl. It was all about teamwork, everyone was helping and taken care of each other. Athough Mount Amos is not the 1st mountain that I have conquered in Tasmania but this time the experience is definitely remarkable.

East coast trip n Easter Holiday Day 1

I was in the trip to the North East Coast of Tasmania in the past few days. Organised by the MSA (Malaysian Student association), the trip was so fun and exciting. We've been to Bicheno, St. Helens, Bay of fire, Freycinent Peninsula, Sand dune, and Swansea..there are a lot of funny moments in the trip and I've meet many funny people too...it was a really great trip.

Finally I can have a rest. Past few days were really exhausted, there were 2 submission within 3 days, the Building in Technology and Design 7 and Professional Studies which was in in Monday and Wednesday. I had just slept 11 hours in these 3 days. However I was happy that we managed to finish what we wanted to do in time. The PS presentation in Wednesday was great, it was very enjoyable. Each groups dealing with different issues and have presented in very creative method. Some of the group presented it by making short videos and "who wants to be a good architect" (who wants to be a millionaire - architecture version) which makes all of us laughed. Ivonny and Virly groups presented it with making a stop motion story, interpreting the situation and solution to their issues which was also very funny and hilarious. How about our group? We've done it by making a short introduction film plus power point presentation. Me starring all the characters inside the film...my friends said i should study at next building (UTAS School of Performing Arts just next to School of Architecture) instead of architorture. He was kidding of course. We have made till this far, I wouldn't spent so many years and money to study architecture if I don't like it. It is in the blood already, in one and half year I will elegible to become an architect. I woudn't regret about the path that I have chosen because there are nothing to regret of. I think it is the best way and the only way to go. Anyway, I'm very happy now because it's holiday!! Easter break!!!

Greenstar, LEED, BREEAM and CASBEE....

Recently i have tried my best to be friend with Greenstar, LEED, BREEAM, CASBEE and others.
Unfortunately I found that I am really unsuitable for them. What a shame? they might be too difficult for me, too classy I suppose. BREEAM, who comes from UK is definitely a standard and organised gentleman. Classy and sophisticated, he is the eldest of all. LEED is a American who was born in 1998, he is more casual compared to the others therefore he has many friends from all around the world. Greenstar is a local, a Australian who has many commons with BREEAM and LEED however he did has some differences eventhough they have the same ancestor. GREENSTAR has fully adopted to the local conditions which makes himself called Australian. While CASBEE is origin from Japan, I tried very hard to understand him unfortunately I don't know Japanese. He is completely different from the others which he has his very own pesonality and never followed others. I don't like them at first, but I have to make myself to as I couldn't survive in this profession without them....this is life huh?

What am i crapping?? Nonsense!!!!

PS: My classmates would have better understanding of what am I talking about. I think they have same situation with me too...BREEAM is the EBRS(Environmental building rating schemes) from UK, LEED is from U.S, GREENSTAR is from Australia and CASBEE is from Japan.

Finally I have presented my Design Studio 1st assignment- Form explore- marquette. Apparently it was not a satisfactory outcome nevertheless a new things to learn and explore though. It was definitely new thing for me as we will be doing digital architecture in this semester. I have to admit that I am an old-school kind of architecture student who are enjoying to do sketching, drawing and colouring process. I just can't believe that what am I doing now is something that I have regarded as "nonsense architecture" before...I just havent really go through deeply into the Digital architecture at that time. Actually there are various of reasons and theories to backed up the ideas. I am regretting to had such ignorant and immature thought...

Seems like CK and Shanky were having good mood recently....they said they'll prepare the dinner... I have no doubt about Ck, he's quite okay with cooking, but Shanky....she said she want to prepare a dish named "Pineapple Chicken". Let me introduce the ingredients for this dish..which were --pineapple and chicken. Yes, only pineapple and chicken, nothing else. She did put a lot of sugar into the dish, apparently it doesn't really works because it is soo sour!! I repeat, toooo sour!!!

Hohoho, I moved to new house

Ho! Ho! Ho! Finally I go my internet connection setting up after 14 days without internet service. I have moved from Mowbray to Inveresk, where it is just 3 minutes walk to school. I staying at the loft, apparently is not a wise option as it is sooo hot in the summer and will be sooo cold in the winter..actually it is not an option because my other housemates wanted the bedrooms at the ground floor while forcing me to take the loft, the reason was I am a studio dweller, I always stay at school more often then at home....whatever....Let me introduce my new housemates, Cheekang(CK), Cheekang used to be my classmates in 3rd year, he was suppose to graduate with me last year but due to some inevitable technical reason he is in the 2nd year now, that means he has becomes the junior of his juniors last time, which means he has to stay another 6 months for his bachelor degree. My another housemate, Vincent is my classmate too in 4th year, who works so many days a week and have a very good social skills....I hope I can have half of it..and finally, the only princess in the house, Shanki who is 19 years old and studying in Launceston college for her pre-u. She is just a little girl, so fortunate to has so many big brothers at home which she doesn't need to worry about anything because she can always screams for help!! she doesn't need to prepare a single meal because there is always people to cook for her, that's why she's the one who washed the dishes after every dinner. I have always wondered why she is sooooo slim eventhough she eats a lot!!!! sometimes even more than me!! The funny things was she always complained that she is hungry.....and the most frequent question from her was "shall we eat?"

I bought an Anime set "The Great Collection, Studio Ghibli present 2" today, what a coincidence, as my intension originally to The Curve was just to get some clothes before I go back to Aussie. I'm glad I bought this collection sets, which consists of 8 animes that I havent have. I'm a big fan of Studio Ghibli Anime, I have stated to collect the animes few years ago, now I have more than 30 animes by Studio Ghibli. Since I was small, I have watched so many Studio Ghibli Animes, and it was really inspiring, provoking and cultivating; I had so much of imagination about the characters and scenes in the films. The animes by Studio Ghibli are always the high standard work: touching story line+ lively drawing skills+ true humane morales+ fantastic soundtrack..

I like the human values expressed through the animes, especially the morales of friendship, love of family, love of nature and so fourth...

I have....Hypertension

Finally i wrote a blog......after my doctor said my blood pressure was higher than it should be. He asked me, "you're just 24, your blood pressure shouldn't be that high, does your family members have high blood pressure? You should learn some ways to release your stress...24 year-old youngster shouldn't has high blood pressure...." "Is it because of my weight?" I pointed on my belly and asked the doctor. " Weight could cause Hypertension, but you're just 24, it's probably came from your family....try not to put yourself too hard.."said the young doctor.

Yeah, my mom just found out recently she has high blood pressure while the relatives on my father side also has the history of heart-attack. Starting from today I have to take a half heart-shaped tablet in every morning.

Cool...I have Hypertension after 24-years living on this planet...when I still struggling for my dreams....when i still own nothing...when I still single... and when I applying my Australian Visas for my Master Degree...

At that moment I felt so alone.....many things that happened before flashing on my mind, I started to missing my friends, my mom, my dad...

I called Miimo and Liyan for lunch, however Miimo didn't answer the phone, she was probably still sleeping. Therefore I had lunch with Liyan alone and I told her about my situation. Just like usual, she told me not to worry....bla bla bla....actually I just need a person to accompany me and listen to what I said, I should really thanks Liyan for that..
